[VIDEO] Snickers and Machete are the Real Super Bowl Commercial MVPs
Happy Friday! Let’s head off into the weekend with Snickers’ latest ode to the transformative powers of being too hangry for life.
The Super Bowl is always a treasure trove of brilliant commercials, so it’s way too early to tell right now which campaign is going to reign supreme at the end of the day. But this early release from Snickers is certainly a frontrunner. It’s a continuation of the Mars Inc.-owned brand’s long-running “you're not you when you're hungry” series, which started with everyday people turning into abrasive celebrities out of hanger and has since gone off in myriad directions up to and including an alternate explanation for Godzilla’s rampages.
This new installment takes us into the home of the Brady Bunch, and channels the hunger-fueled rage and angst of Jan and Marcia Brady into Steve Buscemi and Danny Trejo’s own Machete. It’s strange and it’s spectacular. Check it out:
