At the 2014 International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) June Board of Directors and Committee Meeting this week, three new members were inducted onto the association’s board of directors to fill the positions of three former directors who have left. Andrew Eaton PhD, Heidi Paul, and Shayron Barnes-Selby are the newest directors on the IBWA board, and all three are well qualified and have a lot of expertise to bring to the position.

As the technical director and Vice President at Eurofins Eaton Analytical, Dr. Eaton is a board certified environmental scientist with a Harvard University PhD in Geochemistry and 35 years in the industry with Eurofins – which happens to be a leading laboratory facility in the business of water safety and testing for the food and beverage, environmental, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Heidi Paul is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Nestlé Waters North America and has a place on the company’s executive board. Among her many responsibilities with the company, Paul is in charge of environmental and community responsibility and government relations.

Shayron Barnes-Selby is Vice President of Government Affairs & Quality Services for DS Services, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, and handles a variety of responsibilities including product quality and safety as well as state and federal political relations.

In addition to their long tenures in the field, all three new IBWA directors have also been longtime active members of the association. Complementary to her political relations experience at DS Services, Barnes-Selby is currently co-chair of the association’s Government Relations Committee, as well as Treasurer of the IBWA Political Action Committee. Dr. Eaton is currently co-chair of the IBWA Technical Committee (as well as a Trustee of the Drinking Water Research Foundation). Paul has been Chair of the IBWA Communications Committee and Strategic Action Planning Committee in the past, and along with her current promotion she has also been appointed to a seat on the IBWA Executive Committee.
