Do you know a woman doing great things, pushing boundaries and breaking barriers in the fresh produce industry? Now is your chance to tell the world. Nominations are open to select the 2015 Women in Produce for the United Fresh Produce Association’s annual Reception Honoring Women in Produce taking place on June 9, 2015.

The Reception Honoring Women in Produce is a key part of United Fresh 2015, the association’s annual trade show for professionals throughout the fresh produce supply chain from growers and processors to distributors and retailers. This year’s trade show is taking place in Chicago, IL from June 8 to June 10, 2015. In addition to honoring all women working in the industry, the show is seeking out nominations for one special industry role model who has gone above and beyond to honor for her work.

“The Reception Honoring Women in Produce is always a highlight of the convention,” said United Fresh President and CEO Tom Stenzel. “We’re looking forward to celebrating with this year’s honoree, her peers and past honorees in Chicago this June.”

Last year’s honoree was Teri Miller, produce category manager at Delhaize America, a retail group encompassing Food Lion, Hannaford, and Bottom Dollar Food. “It was a true honor to be recognized by my prestigious colleagues and peers,” said Miller. “I encourage the produce industry to participate in the nomination process and recognize the many outstanding women who contribute to our industry.”
