  • Scottish brewing company BrewDog is moving to the United States, and it’s growing in a big way. In addition to building a 100,000 square foot U.S. production facility in Ohio—its first production facility on U.S. soil—it is also now buying back its U.S. distribution rights from California-based Anchor Brewing. ~ BrewBound
  • As you may remember, last month Nestlé India voluntarily recalled millions of dollars’ worth of Maggi 2-Minute Noodles in response to a ban across six India states after the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) declared the noodles “unsafe and hazardous.” This declaration led the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) to conduct its own examination of the noodles to check for unsafe lead and chemical levels. On July 1, the FSA declared that Maggi 2-Minute Noodles sold in the UK were safe and did not pose any safety threat. ~ Food Manufacture UK
  • McDonald’s has been rolling out its new all-day breakfast concept across the United States, and now it’s rolling across the Pacific Ocean. This week McDonald’s introduced all-day breakfast at its Wollongong and Illawarra regions in Australia, with plans to expand the concept to the Gold Coast in August. At this rate, all-day breakfast will be standard at McDonald’s before long. ~ Mashable
  • Mondelez International has completed the merger of its coffee business with D.E. Master Blenders 1753, creating the brand new Jacobs Douwe Egberts company. According to reports, Mondelez received €3.8 billion and will retain a 44 percent stake in the new entity. ~ Chicago Tribune
