Founded in 1919 as a market stall in Hackney, London, Tesco Plc has grown to become one of the largest retailing brands in the world. Tesco operates a number of formats, from large Tesco Extra hypermarkets to the smaller and more specialized Tesco Metro and Tesco Express convenience markets.
