The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing together professionals and academics to promote the advancement of food science and technology throughout the supply chain. Founded in 1939, the IFT aims to be a voice for the food science community, helping it to influence public policy and legislation. The organization works to achieve this goal through education, professional advancement programs, and its annual food science and technology expo.
